In a generous act of community support, Akiiki Marjorie MP Wabataka, an aspiring woman member of Parliament for Fort Portal City, donated medical equipment worth millions to Kabarole Christian Fellowship Church. This donation comes as World Evangelical ministries prepares for its 44th anniversary celebration, scheduled for August 31, 2024.
The initiative was inspired by a concerning incident that occurred four months ago when a church member collapsed and began vomiting during a service. As a mental health therapist, Marjorie felt a deep responsibility to address the healthcare needs within her community. This led her to pledge support for establishing a First Aid medical clinic at the church.
On Sunday, she delivered a range of essential medical equipment, including:
- Examination bed, Blood pressure machines, Nebulizer for oxygen, Trolleys
- Weighing scale, Stethoscope, First aid box and many more medical equipment
Dr KL Dickson expressed his heartfelt appreciation for Marjorie's generosity, highlighting her commitment to investing in the kingdom of God. He emphasized that her contribution has set a precedent and serves as a catalyst for future development, envisioning a larger medical center that would benefit both the church and the wider community.
Dr Dickson also extended an invitation to fellow Christians and community members to join in supporting the upcoming anniversary celebration and to contribute towards the ongoing construction projects at the church.
